This article will show you how to open Windows Explorer. In any Russian-language version of Windows, this application is called Explorer.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Windows 10 and 8
Step 1. Open the Start menu
To do this, click on the Windows logo in the lower left corner of the screen, or press the ⊞ Win key on your keyboard.
In Windows 8, move your mouse to the upper-right corner of the screen and click the magnifying glass that appears
Step 2. In the search bar, enter explorer
A folder-shaped icon appears at the top of the Start menu.
Step 3. Click on the File Explorer icon
It's a folder-shaped icon at the top of the Start menu. Windows Explorer will open.
Pin File Explorer to the taskbar to launch it with one click. Right-click on the Explorer icon at the bottom of the screen and select "Pin to taskbar" from the menu
Step 4. Try to open File Explorer in different ways
- Click on the File Explorer icon on the taskbar.
- Press ⊞ Win + E.
- Right click on the Start menu and click on File Explorer.
- Open the Start menu and click on the folder-shaped icon (left).
Method 2 of 2: Windows 7
Step 1. Open the Start menu
