This article will show you how to log into WhatsApp Web or PC version of WhatsApp by scanning a QR code. Keep in mind that you cannot use WhatsApp to scan other QR codes that are not intended for logging into WhatsApp on a computer. There are other applications for this purpose.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: On iPhone

Step 1. Open WhatsApp Web
Go to https://web.whatsapp.com/ in your web browser. A black and white window will appear in the middle of the screen, which is the QR code.
If you want to log into the computer version of WhatsApp, a QR code will be displayed the first time you launch the program

Step 2. Launch WhatsApp app on iPhone
The icon for this application looks like a white telephone receiver in a text bubble on a green background.
If you haven't installed or configured WhatsApp yet, do it now. To do this, you will need to enter and confirm your phone number

Step 3. Click Settings
This option (the gear-shaped icon) is in the lower-right corner of the screen. The settings page will open.
If a conversation is open in WhatsApp, first click the Back button in the upper left corner of the screen

Step 4. Click WhatsApp Web
This option is located at the top of the screen, below your name and profile picture.

Step 5. Press Clear when this message appears on the screen
The WhatsApp QR code scanner will open.
If you have previously scanned a QR code using the WhatsApp app, at the bottom of the screen, click “Scan QR Code” to turn on the camera

Step 6. Point the camera at the QR code
The iPhone screen should be looking at you, and the device's camera should be looking at the QR code displayed on the computer monitor. Place the phone about 30 cm away from the monitor.

Step 7. Wait for the QR code to be scanned
When the scanning process is complete, the WhatsApp web page will display your messages from the WhatsApp app.
Method 2 of 2: On an Android device

Step 1. Open WhatsApp Web
Go to https://web.whatsapp.com/ in your web browser. A black and white window will appear in the middle of the screen, which is the QR code.
If you want to log into the computer version of WhatsApp, a QR code will be displayed the first time you launch the program

Step 2. Launch the WhatsApp app on your Android device
The icon for this application looks like a white telephone receiver in a text bubble on a green background.
If you haven't installed or configured WhatsApp yet, do so now. To do this, you will need to enter and confirm your phone number

Step 3. Push ⋮
This icon is in the upper right corner of the screen. A dropdown menu will open.
If a conversation is open in WhatsApp, first click the Back button in the upper left corner of the screen

Step 4. Click WhatsApp Web
This option is located in the drop-down menu. The page for scanning the QR code will open.

Step 5. Press Clear when this message appears on the screen
The WhatsApp QR code scanner will open.
If you have previously scanned a QR code using WhatsApp, in the lower right corner of the screen, press "+" to turn on the camera

Step 6. Point the camera at the QR code
The iPhone screen should be looking at you, and the device's camera should be looking at the QR code displayed on the computer monitor. Place the phone about 30 cm away from the monitor.

Step 7. Wait for the QR code to be scanned
When the scanning process is complete, the WhatsApp web page will display your messages from the WhatsApp app.
Advice
- If the scanning process takes too long, the time allotted for it will expire. In this case, click on the green round button "Update code", which is located in the center of the window with the code.
- To sign out of WhatsApp on any computer you signed in with, open the "WhatsApp Web" option in the WhatsApp application and select "Sign out on all computers".
