This article will show you how to watch Netflix videos on your computer, mobile device, Roku, Smart TV and Blu-ray player.
Steps
Part 1 of 5: How to Register

Step 1. Open the Netflix website
You can sign up for Netflix on any device, but it's more convenient to do it on a computer. You can also open the Netflix website in a mobile browser.
To create an account on a device such as a smart TV, click Free Trial or Sign Up at the Netflix login page, then follow the onscreen instructions. The registration process will be similar to the process described below

Step 2. Click Join Free for a Month
Please note that the name of this option depends on your country.

Step 3. Select the plan you want to subscribe to
To watch High Definition (HD) videos, select the Standard or Premium plan. The Standard plan will allow you to watch Netflix on two different devices, while the Premium plan will allow you to watch four.

Step 4. Click Continue

Step 5. Enter your email address
It will be used to sign in to your Netflix account.

Step 6. Enter your password
It must be unique.

Step 7. Click Register

Step 8. Select a payment method
Please be aware that you will not be charged during the trial period.

Step 9. Enter your billing information
If you have a Netflix gift card, enter its number. During the trial period, money will not be withdrawn from the card.

Step 10. Select the devices on which you plan to watch streaming video
Keep in mind that once registration is complete, the videos can be watched on any device, even if you have not specified them at this stage.
Part 2 of 5: How to Watch Netflix (Computer)

Step 1. Launch a browser that supports HD video streaming
To watch videos in the highest possible quality (HD video at 1080p), you need to use certain web browsers depending on your operating system:
- Windows 10 and 8 - Internet Explorer (1080p) or Microsoft Edge (up to 4k)
- OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) and newer - Safari (1080p)
- Windows 7, Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) and older - Chrome or Firefox (maximum 720p)

Step 2. Click Sign in

Step 3. Click on your profile
If you have multiple profiles associated with your account, select the one you want.

Step 4. Scroll through the top categories
Do this with the mouse wheel or two fingers on the trackpad.

Step 5. Press the> button to view more titles in the category
This icon is to the right of each category list. When you scroll all the way to the right, a <icon will appear on the left to go back.

Step 6. Click Search to find the video
You can search for it by title, genre, or actor.

Step 7. Click Browse to view all categories

Step 8. Click on the title of the video to open information about it
On this page you will find a description of the video and will be able to select an episode (if it is a series).

Step 9. Click Play to start watching the video
Part 3 of 5: How to Watch Netflix (Mobile)

Step 1. Install the Netflix app
The installation process depends on the device (Apple or Android); further steps are the same for both Apple and Android.
- Apple devices - tap on the App Store icon on the home screen. Click the Search tab and then enter "Netflix". Click Install next to Netflix.
- Android devices - tap the Play Store icon on the Application Bar. Click on the search bar and enter "Netflix". Tap "Netflix" in the search results, then tap "Install."

Step 2. Launch the Netflix app
This can be done in the app store or using the icon on the home screen.

Step 3. Tap Sign in

Step 4. Enter your Netflix login credentials

Step 5. Tap Sign in

Step 6. Click on the desired profile
If you have multiple profiles, choose one of them.

Step 7. Swipe up and down on the screen to view the recommended categories

Step 8. Swipe left and right to view the video titles

Step 9. Push ☰ to open the menu
You will find this icon in the upper left corner.

Step 10. Scroll down the menu to view all categories

Step 11. Click on the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner to open the search bar
Search for the video you want by title, actor, or genre.
If the title you entered is not found, Netflix will display similar titles

Step 12. Click the Cast button if you have a Chromecast on your network
If your TV is connected to a Chromecast and your device is connected to the same wireless network, a Cast button appears at the top of the screen. Click on it, select Chromecast and start watching Netflix.

Step 13. Click on the title of the video to open information about it
On this page you will find a description of the video and will be able to select an episode (if it is a series).

Step 14. Click Play to start watching the video
Part 4 of 5: How to Watch Netflix (Roku)

Step 1. Connect your Roku and set it up
If you haven't used Roku yet, set it up first.
If you have a Roku TV, select Roku from the list of apps on your TV

Step 2. Create a Roku account (if needed)
It is required to watch Netflix on Roku. To create a free Roku account, go to owner.roku.com/Account/Create/ in a web browser.

Step 3. Select Home from the Roku main menu

Step 4. Select Netflix
Netflix should be preinstalled on most Roku devices.
If Netflix is not in the list of available channels, return to the main menu and select Streaming Channels> Movies & TV> Netflix> Add Channel

Step 5. Select Sign in

Step 6. Enter your Netflix email address and click Next

Step 7. Enter your Netflix password and click Sign in

Step 8. Click Start

Step 9. Select the required profile
If you have multiple profiles, choose one of them.

Step 10. Scroll up and down to view the recommended categories
Use the Roku remote to navigate the lines; each line is a recommended category of content.

Step 11. Scroll down the menu to display additional options
Here you will find a list of categories as well as menu options.

Step 12. Select the magnifying glass icon to find the video you want
You can search for it by title, actor, or genre.

Step 13. Select Categories to view the list of categories
A full list of Netflix movie and TV series categories will open.

Step 14. Click on the title of the video to open information about it
On this page you will find a description of the video and will be able to select an episode (if it is a series).

Step 15. Click Play to start watching the video
Part 5 of 5: How to Watch Netflix (Smart TV / Blu-ray)

Step 1. Locate the Netflix button on the remote
The process for launching Netflix on a Smart TV varies by model. Typically, Netflix can be launched from the TV remote or from the list of available apps.

Step 2. Open the main menu of the TV
To do this, press the Home button on the remote control. In some cases, you must press the Menu button to display the Home option.

Step 3. Expand the "Apps" or "Internet" section
Its name depends on the TV model, but it contains various streaming applications.

Step 4. Select "Netflix"
If you are unable to find this application on your TV, check the TV manual or the user support page on the TV manufacturer's website.

Step 5. Select Sign in or Yes
The name of this option or button depends on the device model.

Step 6. Go to netflix.com/activate on a computer or mobile device
Many smart TVs require you to enter an activation code for your Netflix account. If you've gone to the Netflix main menu, you don't need to activate anything.

Step 7. Log in to the activation page with your Netflix credentials

Step 8. Enter the code displayed on the TV screen

Step 9. Click Activare
On the TV, you will be taken to the Netflix main menu.

Step 10. Use your TV remote to navigate Netflix
Use the arrow keys to navigate through the menu options; press "Enter" or "OK" on the remote control to select an option.

Step 11. Scroll up and down to view the recommended categories
Each category contains a number of recommended titles.

Step 12. Scroll right and left to display more titles in the category
Each category contains more titles than will fit on the screen.

Step 13. Scroll to the bottom of the list to display the menu options

Step 14. Select the magnifying glass icon to find the video you want
You can search for it by title, actor, or genre. Use the arrow keys on the remote to select letters on the onscreen keyboard.

Advice
- Watching Netflix uses up traffic quickly, so keep an eye on your traffic if it's limited. Watching HD video takes about 3 GB of data per hour, and 4K video - 7 GB per hour.
- Use Netflix's Network Checker to make sure your network is suitable for watching HD videos. Open the Netflix settings menu on your device; to do this, click on the gear icon.
