This article will guide you on how to make a sphere in Google SketchUp.
Method 1 of 2: Start with a circle
Step 1. Download Google Sketchup
You can find more instructions on Google SketchUp here.
Step 2. Make a circle (the chosen size will be a sphere) on one axis
Step 3. Make another circle, on the other axis, and it should be larger than the first
The middle of this circle should coincide with the middle of the first. Make the second circle higher than the first, and then use the move function to set it in the middle. Do as shown in the picture.
Step 4. Select the large circle
Make sure you don't select anything else.
Step 5. Select the Follow Me tool and click once on the small circle
Step 6. Then select the “Erase the extra” option
Method 2 of 2: Start with a square
Step 1. This part will take a little longer, but it will give you a different surface dynamics
Step 2. Open SketchUp and make a 20 'x 20' square
Step 3. Using the Pencil tool, divide the square into four equal parts
Step 4. Create a circle within a square, starting right from the center
Set the diameter to 10 '(to touch the sides of the square).
Step 5. Delete one line of the square, thereby halving the circle
Step 6. Replace the deleted line with a line created with the Arc Tool
Rotate the view so that the arc matches the 10 'diameter.
