This article will show you how to close your Venmo account using your computer (not available on mobile). Please be aware that before closing your Venmo account, you will need to withdraw any remaining balance on your Venmo account. If you have outstanding payments, you will also need to do something with them before closing your account.
Steps
Step 1. Open the website
You can use any browser to access Venmo, such as Chrome or Safari.
- If you are not logged in yet, click Sign In (Login) in the upper right corner of the screen, enter your logs and password and click on the button Log in to venmo (Login to Venmo).
Step 2. Click Settings
You can find a link to them in the menu in the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Click Close my Venmo Account
This option is available at the bottom of the Settings page, above the blue Save Settings button.
Step 4. Click Next on the pop-up window
You will need to check and upload a statement of your recent transactions in order to close your account.
Step 5. Click Next again
You will see this blue button at the top of the page - above the statement.
- You can save a copy of your statement to your computer by clicking Download CSV (Download. CSV file).
Step 6. Click Close Account to confirm the action
Your Venmo account is now closed and you will receive the last email from Venmo - with your transaction history.
