If you have a cooler or water dispenser, you need to clean it regularly. Clean water will keep you healthy and your coffee tastes better. Luckily, you just need a small amount of bleach and a sponge to keep your water dispenser looking like new.
Steps
Step 1. Clean the water cooler every 6 weeks or whenever you change the bottle
Step 2. Prepare a bleach solution by adding 1 tablespoon of bleach for every 1 liter of water you use
Step 3. Unplug the water cooler from the outlet and remove the empty bottle
Step 4. Use a sponge to clean the inside of the cooler with bleach solution
Let sit for 5 minutes (no longer), then drain the bleach solution over the tap and into the bucket.
Step 5. Empty the bucket into a sink, toilet, or urinal
Step 6. Rinse the inner reservoir of the bleach solution by filling it with water four times and drain it through the faucet into the bucket
Step 7. Remove drip tray and rinse well with bleach solution
Then rinse in running water and install on the cooler.
Step 8. Wash your hands with soap and warm water, and then wipe the top and neck of the new bottle
Step 9. Remove the cap from the new bottle
Step 10. Place the new bottle on the water dispenser
