Painting your refrigerator and other large appliances is an easy and inexpensive way to update your kitchen. In this case, there are several well-suited colors to choose from: white, black, almond and steel. Read below for step-by-step instructions on how to paint.
Steps

Step 1. Decide on the painting method
paint with a brush or spray. You can purchase everything you need for any painting method at almost any building materials store.
- Brushing is less clutter-free and works very well if you decide to paint indoors. However, the brush can leave marks, streaks, and if you do not take any additional measures to smooth them out, then as soon as the paint dries, all the flaws will be immediately visible. To do this, while the paint is fresh, you can use a sponge.
- A paint sprayer works just as well as a regular spray paint can, it allows you to apply even and smooth layers. Painting with a spray gun takes much less time, however, when choosing this method, the surrounding surfaces will need to be covered with plastic wrap or the refrigerator must be taken out.

Step 2. Unplug the refrigerator from the outlet and move it away from walls and cabinets so that it can be easily painted on all sides

Step 3. Thoroughly clean the surface of the refrigerator with a mixture of ammonia and water - it is necessary to remove all dirt, grease and dust
Then let the refrigerator dry for about an hour. To avoid the ingress of threads, lint, do not wipe the surfaces with a rag or towel.

Step 4. To prevent the spread of rust from already affected areas, treat these areas with a special solution
These types of products can be purchased at hardware stores.

Step 5. Isolate areas of the surface that cannot be painted
emblems, handles and rubber gaskets. The adhesive tape for painting works perfectly protects the surface and is also easy to remove.

Step 6. Painting
Before using the paint, read the instructions on the jar, usually it says something like this:
- Stir the paint for better consistency.
- Place in a thin layer. Approximately 2-3 coats will be sufficient to ensure an even coverage.
- Before putting the next layer, give 15 minutes of drying time to the previous one.
- After painting, it takes 24 hours to dry completely.
Advice
- If you paint indoors, take care of its ventilation, open windows and doors, turn on the fan.
- On rusted places, without touching the whole surface, you can gently walk with an abrasive.
