If you notice that water is constantly dripping from your kitchen faucet, it means that it is time to replace the rubber seal (gasket). Instead of calling a plumber and paying for services, you can easily do it yourself. If you have a two-handled mixer in your kitchen, then feel free to follow the tips below.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Remove the old gasket

Step 1. Shut off the water supply
Look under the sink, there you will see two valves, one for cold water and one for hot water.

Step 2. Take a minus screwdriver to remove the cover from the first mixer handle

Step 3. Next, use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the mounting screw
Remove the handle.

Step 4. Using a wrench, remove the packing nut

Step 5. Take out the valve to the axle box and unscrew the screw that holds the gasket
Take this pad with you to the store and pick up the same new one.
Method 2 of 2: Install a new gasket in the valve

Step 1. Use a screwdriver to place a new rubber seal on the valve box
Check if it is well secured.

Step 2. Now place the valve box in the mixer body and tighten the sealing nut well

Step 3. Replace the tap handle and secure it

Step 4. Place the handle cover in place

Step 5. Turn on the water supply and check for leaks
Advice
- In case of replacing one gasket, you can change the second one at once.
- You can also immediately change the oil seal ring, if, of course, it is already worn out enough.
