Using spacers on your kitchen shelf will help protect your wood trim. It is easy to remove if you want to change the design or if the lining will often smear. It only takes you one or two hours to install the lining after purchasing it.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Buy a cling film for your kitchen shelf

Step 1. Calculate the number of shelves required, remove the dimensions
Measurements may be inaccurate, and a rough measurement will do.

Step 2. Choose the material for the lining
It can be plastic, varnished paper, cork and other materials. You can buy self-adhesive tape that will stick well.

Step 3. Find good scissors or a sharp knife to get a clean cut
Method 2 of 2: Place your litter on a shelf

Step 1. Empty the shelves

Step 2. Wipe down the shelves with a rag and warm water
Use a few drops of detergent if your shelves are too dirty or sticky.

Step 3. Let the shelves dry

Step 4. Measure the shelves with a tape measure
Measure the width and depth at the widest points, mark the dimensions on the material.

Step 5. Lay the liner face down on a hard surface and mark the cut line
Use a tape measure or ruler to draw a straight line if your backing does not have a grid.

Step 6. Cut out the lining

Step 7. Place the backing on the shelf and mark any indentations you will need to cut later

Step 8. Trim and brush the entire backing area for better hold

Step 9. Remove the liner from the film, gradually smooth out the liner
Make sure there are no bubbles.

Step 10. Put everything back at the end of the process
