The soft, comfortable pillows ensure you a good night's sleep. Many people choose feather pillows because they are incredibly soft and durable. They can be given any shape to make it comfortable for you to sleep. In addition, they last a long time and do not deteriorate like pillows made from other materials. Advice
- Remember that it is very important to rinse your pillows well. Feathers absorb chemicals from the laundry detergent. Adding an extra rinse to the pillows will help remove these substances from the pillows.
- Always use the Delicate cycle when washing feather pillows. In other settings, the feathers may shrink and the pillows will permanently deteriorate.
- While drying your pillows in the tumble dryer, try putting some clean tennis balls or sneakers in the tumble dryer. This will help fluff up the pillows as they dry.
- Try to take your pillows to the laundry or dry cleaner at least once a year.
- If your washed pillows have a musty or other smell, spread them outside in direct sunlight for at least two hours. This will help get rid of any unpleasant odors.
- To keep feather pillows fresh, wash them 2-4 times each year. If you put pillowcases on them, washing the pillows once or twice a year is sufficient.
Warnings
- Do not use freshly washed pillows if they are not completely dry. This will help get rid of any odors and make them look beautiful.
- Never wash pillows in pillowcases - they don't stretch well.
- When washing feather pads, do not use bleach or fabric softener. They can damage feathers.
