Special furniture spray is sold in stores, the cover for which cannot or cannot be washed or dry-cleaned. This spray is called Febreze and is used to give old furniture a fresh scent. We'll show you how to make this spray at home using ingredients that you can buy at your regular store.
Steps
Step 1. Take a spray bottle with a spray bottle
Rinse it thoroughly to prevent the chemicals from mixing.
Step 2. Take 1/8 cup of liquid fabric softener and 1-2 tsp
l. baking soda. Whisk the mixture in a bowl until the baking soda dissolves.
Step 3. Take a funnel and use it to pour the mixture into the bottle
Step 4. Heat up the water
The water should be a little hot, but not hot enough to melt the plastic bottle.
Step 5. Pour water into the bottle with the mixture
Step 6. Cap the bottle and shake
Advice
- If you are worried that the mixture will stain your furniture, use a colorless fabric softener.
- If you are using a bottle of a different mixture, stick a label on it.
