There are several ways to remove marker marks from tiles. The first method uses a homemade all-purpose cleaning solution. For embossed tiles, it is better to use toothpaste (or universal solution) and remove marks with a toothbrush or hard brush. An easy-to-erase marker also helps remove marks from smooth tiles. The main thing is to check in advance each method on a small inconspicuous area of the tile and only then apply the product over a large surface area.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Homemade cleaning solution

Step 1. Mix the ingredients
Combine ¼ cup white vinegar, ¼ cup baking soda, 1 tablespoon liquid dish soap, and 8 liters hot tap water. Add all ingredients to the bucket and stir with a large spoon or other utensil. The solution must be homogeneous.
If this is too much volume, then cut all proportions in half

Step 2. Check on a small surface
Apply the solution to an inconspicuous area and let it sit for three seconds. Take a paper towel or rag and remove the solution. Look out for any stains, discoloration or other traces of the product. If you have any unwanted effects, try another method.
Always test the product in an inconspicuous area before using any solution or cleaner on tiled floors to avoid spoiling the entire floor area with stains and other unwanted effects

Step 3. Apply the solution to a rag or napkin
Then start wiping down the marks of the marker with a rag. Remove the entire stain completely. If a large area is dirty, add the solution to a rag as needed.
Method 2 of 3: Embossed Tile Toothpaste

Step 1. Use regular white toothpaste
Gel toothpaste will not work. Choose a product that contains baking soda whenever possible. The toothpaste perfectly removes marker marks from embossed tiles.

Step 2. Apply toothpaste to the stain
Cover the marker with toothpaste and let sit for one to two minutes. The longer the mark remains on the tile, the longer it takes for the toothpaste to heal the stain.
For example, if a marker was left 24 hours ago, then leave the toothpaste on for at least five minutes

Step 3. Use a sponge to collect the toothpaste
After a while, scoop up the paste with a sponge. Embossed tiles will need to be brushed with a toothbrush or other stiff brush to remove marker marks in small grooves.
After removing the stain, wash the area with soap and water to remove any residual paste
Method 3 of 3: Easy Erasable Smooth Tile Marker

Step 1. Buy a black, easy-to-erase marker
These markers are sold in supermarkets and art stores. Be sure to use a black marker, not a colored, easy-to-erase marker.
Be sure to check the marker on an inconspicuous area first

Step 2. Trace the spot with a marker
Take your time to circle the entire stain, start with a small part of it. This method is best for smooth tiles. On embossed tiles, it is better to use toothpaste or universal solution.

Step 3. Remove the marker with a paper towel
You can also use a rag or tissue to remove the outlined area of the stain. If the stain cannot be removed completely, trace around it again with an easy-to-erase marker. Work the stain until it is completely removed.
Use warm water and soap to clean the area after removing the stain
Advice
- Never mix different cleaning products. If one method is not effective, then rinse off the product and dry the tile before using another method.
- Try to remove stains in a timely manner, as it will be more difficult to remove them over time.
