Advice

  • Be careful when disassembling or assembling the fan.
  • If the fan starts to shake at speed, its blades may be out of balance. You can try balancing the soft plastic blades by setting them like an axis, such as a nail and twisting. If you see the blades stop in the same position, it means there is an overweight. Using sturdy scissors, cut some plastic from the back of the blade (or blades) and check the balance again, trying to achieve maximum balance.
  • Unplug the fan from the wall outlet before performing ANY maintenance on the fan.
  • Once you have removed the grate, you can simply vacuum the grate and blades. This will take you much less time than washing it by hand with a rag and then drying it. If the fan is too dusty, you will have to wipe the particularly dirty areas with a rag. You can't get off with a manual dust broom.

Warnings

  • Do not wipe any parts that come into contact with electricity with a wet cloth.
  • If something doesn't work out for you, don't do it.
  • The edges of the blades may be sharp, be careful.

You will need

  • Fan
  • Liquid soap
  • crosshead screwdriver
  • Towel
  • 10 minutes to dry parts
