You probably have a lighter that you treasure, or that you got as a gift from a very close person? Do you have the coolest Zippo in the world? Do you want to avoid littering the planet and not using disposable lighters? The first question will be: "How can you refill it when it runs out of fuel?" By learning how to do this, you will have endless access to fire! The lighter should be refilled as soon as its flame begins to decrease in size. But keep in mind that since you will be dealing with a highly flammable substance, do everything with caution.
Steps

Step 1. Use high quality butane gas to fill your lighter
You can buy it in many stores. Try to find metal-tipped refill bottles instead of plastic ones.

Step 2. The place where you will fill the lighter should be well ventilated

Step 3. Set the fire level to minimum
For some lighters, you will have to turn the special screw clockwise at the bottom of the lighter. For other lighters, you just need to move the lever towards the minus sign.

Step 4. You will need to release the remaining air from the lighter by pressing the refueling rod with a screwdriver
Press until the hissing stops. You will not be able to properly refuel a lighter if there is a lot of air in it.

Step 5. When filling the lighter, do not hold it at an angle
Otherwise, air will get into its upper part, and it will be difficult for you to light it later. It may even happen that you have to fill it out again.

Step 6. Take a can of fuel and shake it

Step 7. Insert the tip of the fuel bottle into the lighter refill pin
Try to keep the lighter and bottle upright. Sometimes it can happen that the tip of the bottle will not fit into the lighter shaft. You can then look for a special adapter that is often sold with the fuel.

Step 8. Refill the lighter for five seconds
Then repeat the procedure one more time for a count of five. You can check the fill level of the lighter through the small window that many lighters have. Try not to overflow it.

Step 9. Adjust the desired flame level with a screwdriver or move the lever
The height of the flame should be approximately two or two and a half centimeters. Step 10. Check the lighter.
Wait a couple of minutes and check for fuel leaks. Move the lighter a safe distance from your face and light it. If the lighter does not ignite, you may need to top up with butane gas. Just repeat the above procedure.
