Have you ever found yourself in a difficult situation as a result of poor planning and organization? Read this article and you will be more responsible in no time!
Steps

Step 1. Completely organize your room or house, keep everything in order
Clean the room often. You will no longer be nervous about looking for something at the last minute. Take a look at your room once a month and identify the things you don't need and throw them away. If this is not easy for you, then every day before school, check that the floor is clean and free of clothes or anything else. Step by step, you will achieve a clean, organized room that is pleasant to be in, stretch out and get out of bed when the alarm rings. If you can't get out of bed on time, you are probably going to bed too late. Try to fall asleep earlier so that you have at least 8 hours of sleep. Getting up late will shift time for the rest of the day.

Step 2. Be punctual
Always arrive at your destination at least 15 minutes before your due. Wake up early. People won't take you seriously if you are late. You will let people down and deceive their expectations.
- Do not hurry. Leave your home early so you don't risk being caught and late for school or work. When planning your day, plan it so you don't rush. This is not difficult.
- Keep track of the accuracy of your watch. For some people, running ahead of the clock will help them not to be late. Others will subconsciously know that the time is wrong, and therefore they will ignore it altogether. It may be helpful to set your clock just two minutes ahead, rather than five or ten. This will make it less likely that you will be a few minutes late.

Step 3. Make to-do lists
Create a calendar / planner and write down everything that you have to do on that day, and not just the important things. Everything is important to the perfectionist.
- Create a to-do list for the day. Your daily or urgent list should never be more than 5 items, or you will go overboard and overwhelm yourself. Mark one or two of these items as must be done on that day, and pursue those goals relentlessly until you put a completion mark on your to-do list.
- Make a to-do list for the week. The relevant items here would be: buy groceries, fix the air conditioner, and so on. Pick from this list to prepare a daily pending task list. A whiteboard or erasable board can help you remember everything you need to do every day, which is your long-term goals.
- Make a to-do list for the month. This list would have more general tasks like mom's birthday present, servicing the car, making an appointment with the dentist. Take from this list when you create your daily and weekly pending tasks.
- Make a to-do list for your entire life. Radically, yes, but why not use this time to rethink your life and where does it lead? To be a perfectionist, you need to be able to set priorities, and it's never harmful to think things through in advance.
- Do it. There is no point in creating a list of pending tasks if you don't discipline yourself to complete those tasks. There are many ways to stick to your to-do list. Stop procrastinating, ignoring, or getting rid of all distractions.
- If something remains at the bottom of your pending task list, take a close look at it. Is it really important? If so, finish it, or at least get started. Otherwise, return to the long-term list for "someday" or delete it from the list altogether. Don't let yourself get hung up on something for too long.

Step 4. Pay attention to your behavior and speech
- Watch your grammar.
- Be very polite. Hold the door for someone. Say "thank you" and "sorry" every time you need to, even to someone you don't really like.
- Speak calmly. This demonstrates politeness. Speaking very loudly will make you feel like you desperately need attention. Being loud in public is not only unpleasant, but also inattentive to people around you. Listen to what people have to tell you and always keep eye contact.
- Act as if you are constantly being watched. Wherever you are, imagine your friend, your boss, your mother, watching you. If you are a perfectionist, then you do everything the way you should. And if you talk to yourself, smoke, stoop, eat like a pig, rush, swear or lie, will people think differently of you? Of course! And you must feel that you must change.

Step 5. Practice good hygiene
If you want to do the right thing, you have to look the way it is. Be sure to iron your clothes. Dress for success, not like a brat. You will find that people will take you more seriously.
- Take care of your skin. The skin must be well taken care of and cleansed of imperfections. Wash your face every day, remember to wear a visor and sunscreen. Try to apply the mask to your face at least once a week.
- Watch your nails. Don't let the skin around them get dry enough to crack and stop biting your nails. If you paint them, do a natural French manicure, clear polish, but do not paint too flashy (in red, blue or black). Do not let the polish come off or your nails get too long. Nails should be neutral in color and medium in length for girls and short for boys.

Step 6. Always be prepared for anything
Have extra money with you. If you have a cell phone, always try to keep it fully charged. You never know when you will find yourself in a situation from which you will have to get out on your own. You will be very glad that you took your cell phone with you. A perfectionist cannot be perfect if he is not prepared!

Step 7. Set high standards for yourself
Perfectionists are known to set impossibly high demands on themselves. You should set the bar high, but not so high that it cannot be taken. Find out what works for you.

Step 8. Take the time to perfect everything around you, starting with your school work
Pay attention to every little detail. It will make you happy.
Method 1 of 1: Teenagers are perfectionists

Step 1. Do your best at school
- In class, try to sit in a place where you can hear and see the teacher and the chalkboard clearly and be attentive.
- A good goal for you is to try to get mostly excellent grades in all subjects and jobs, including homework.
- Take notes, prepare for tests, focus, and more often than not come to school ready to learn, try not to worry too much about social inequality, after all, this is not what school is for.
- Try to attend additional training sessions, but only if you know that it will not affect your main activities.
- Follow school rules. There are reasons why they were installed. By following the rules, not only do you avoid problems, but troublemakers are often significantly less so, so you will look like a decent person. To be a perfectionist, you must be a perfect student!

Step 2. At home, do your best to please your parents
Go to bed on time, offer to wash the dishes, go to the store, teach your little brother to tie his shoelaces, etc. Whether interesting or not, if you know there is something you have to do (no matter how badly you don't want to do it), do it!
Make a hard work chart for yourself. Once you've organized your space, make a list of chores you can do every day to keep yourself organized

Step 3. Have a good personal style
- Girls should dress neatly and appropriately. Any style can work for the perfectionist, just remember to pay attention to detail. Wearing quality, classic clothing is your best bet. Follow your school's dress code!
- Boys try to wear things like T-shirts and pants, just like girls wear things that look trendy and new and work well together. And, regardless of your gender, always follow your school's dress code.

Step 4. Maintain your hygiene
- Remember to always be clean: run the comb through your hair, brush your nails, brush your teeth, take a bath / shower.
- When spraying perfume, be sure to use enough, but not too much. Perfume abuse is not attractive and does not improve your hygiene, despite a widespread misconception.
- Never have greasy hair. Use dry shampoo if you don't have time to wash your hair.
Advice
- It's a good idea to always carry a notebook and pen with you so you can take notes as needed (usually at the most unexpected times, which is why it is so quickly forgotten). If you're worried about putting a notebook in your pants pocket, don't worry. Look at bookstores and office supply centers to find a notebook slim enough to fit in any pocket. Of course, if your planner is compact enough, it can serve this purpose as well. Another idea is to have a PDA, Blackberry, etc. Some cell phones have a note or notification menu. If you use any of these, they can be beneficial as well. As a last resort, call your own phone number and keep your voicemail for yourself.
- If you have a phone, try to keep all your important dates and everything else in it.
- Small notes are your friends. Lay them out as a reminder. For example, if you know you have to wash your car, then make a note on the steering wheel so that next time you get into your car and remember to do it. Other good places to take notes are doorknobs, mirrors, and computer monitors (borders, not screen).
- Label your weekly wardrobe in the closet, for example, take stickers and tag your clothes with "Monday," "Tuesday," and so on.
- When creating your to-do list for the week, remember that something might happen that might be completely unexpected. So, flexibly change your list, paying attention to all tasks.
- All of this takes time, so keep working to achieve perfection.
- Don't slouch; keep the correct posture. Walk with your head held high and your arms at your sides. It will make you feel confident. It also conveys a strong energy to the people around you.
- For a quick and easy planner / calendar, just use Google: Calendars or Planners.
- Smile all the time.
Warnings
- Do your best in everything you do, staying neat.
- Follow any rules that are set at school, at home, or wherever you go.
- Example: A sloppy person who is dirty, loud and rude can take a long time to become a perfectionist. However, a slightly unkempt person who is very happy and practically polite, although he can get angry, will handle it easily.
- It can take a while to become a perfectionist, depending on what kind of person you are.
- Don't put too much pressure on yourself.
- It is not possible to become a true perfectionist, because perfectionism is inherent in your personality, just like your habits. The perfectionist born can get really annoyed when other people try to imitate them with their organized behavior as they become very competitive. Moreover, people or students who are obsessed with neatness and overachievement are often confused with perfectionists, and some of these qualities have a negative connotation (natural perfectionists are very self-critical, critical of others, worried about everything, and so on). Following these steps should help you become a more organized, tidy person, but there is no way to change your personality type.
- No alcohol or anything illegal! This is very wrong.
- Let go of yourself! We live on this planet to be happy, and you should never do things that work against you.
