A strategy is a well-thought-out offensive plan in order to achieve personal or professional goals. The success of a strategy depends on the degree of its detail and the feasibility of the task, as well as on the level of elaboration of each of the steps in the plan. For a strategy to be successful, create your strategic planning team, outline 5 to 10 steps, and set a timeline for follow-up.
Steps
Part 1 of 4: Choosing a Problem to Solve

Step 1. Start by choosing a problem to solve
This will be your starting point.

Step 2. Each individual task should have its own strategy
If you have multiple problems to solve, then you need multiple strategies. The strategy is individual in each case; as a rule, there are no universal solutions.

Step 3. Determine your goal or desired outcome
Define the boundaries of what you would like to achieve. Thus, you have decided on the end point, and the strategy should reflect all your steps from start to finish.

Step 4. Determine if your goal is achievable
You may need to ask experienced people what they think of this. For example, if you want to get a promotion within one year, ask your higher-ranking colleagues how long it took them to get promoted to management positions.
If the goal is not achievable, then try replacing it with a more plausible one, for example, a 5% increase in salary with an expanded area of responsibility. Later, strategize for a promotion within two or five years
Part 2 of 4: Create a Planning Team

Step 1. Invite all stakeholders to your strategic planning session
At work, this can be all members of the management team or members of your department. When it comes to personal ambition, it could be your partner, parents, or friends.

Step 2. Explain your purpose to your group
Give them some time to reflect on the problem.

Step 3. Separate roles in the team
If someone from the group is involved in human resources, they can formulate a strategy for applying for a promotion. If someone else is an expert in financial planning, they can strategize to improve your quality of life and motivations after your promotion.

Step 4. Brainstorm new ideas for solving the problem
Write down the most promising ideas.
Part 3 of 4: Finding the Right Toolkit

Step 1. Prepare
The most important tools during the ideation period will be the pen and pencil. However, you can also use other tools to gather information and track progress towards your goal.

Step 2. Decide how you will track your progress
You will need to measure your success on a weekly or monthly basis.
For example, if you want to increase the number of your Facebook friends by 500 people, then you should indicate the total number of friends and the number of new friends each month, as well as the number of messages you sent. Facebook has convenient statistical reporting tools

Step 3. Use new technologies
You should at least be familiar with Excel spreadsheets, but perhaps you should also create a Google Analytics account, master customer experience optimization software, or start using online financial monitoring resources such as Mint.com.
Part 4 of 4: Setting goals and deadlines

Step 1. Determine the deadline for the implementation of the strategy

Step 2. Break the strategy down into 5-10 steps between the state of today and the completion date of the implementation
Determine the start date for each step.

3 Mark these dates on your calendar, insert additional reminders for steps that are several weeks long,

Step 4. If necessary, each step can be divided into separate phases
You can organize them using bulleted lists, in parallel adding the desired amount of additional information.

Step 5. Delegate your authority if it is part of your team's strategy
Make your team members accountable to you and others by asking them to prepare reports by a specific date.

Step 6. Analyze the data monthly
Based on the report, make adjustments to the due date and how you approach the task.

Step 7. Communicate the strategic plans to all stakeholders
Update documents and distribute modified documents on time.
Consider using Google Drive Sheets and Docs if your strategic planning committee doesn't have a collaboration platform

Step 8. Set a date for the implementation of the strategy
Review the strategy periodically. If the strategy has been successful, consider using similar strategies in the future.
