Minecraft is a popular sandbox game in which players build and destroy, fight and explore the game world. The full version of the game is sold for $ 26.95 (1,750 rubles), but you can download a free demo version. Please note that the time of one game session in the demo version is limited; also this version cannot be played over the network.

Part 1 of 2: How to download the game
Step 1. Go to the Minecraft website and download the launcher
To play Minecraft, you first need to download the game itself. But note that Minecraft is different from most other games: you can download the game for free, but you need to pay for an account that will open access to the full version of the game.
- To download the Minecraft launcher (the launcher is the program for launching the game), on the Minecraft website, click on the icon in the form of three horizontal stripes in the upper right corner and select "Trial and Download" from the menu.
- On the next page, click on the "More options" link and select the version of the launcher that matches your operating system (Windows, macOS or Linux).
Step 2. Install the launcher
To do this, run the downloaded file. Now follow the instructions on the screen to install the launcher.
As a rule, the entire installation process takes place automatically. But if you have any difficulties downloading and / or installing the launcher, try contacting Support or use the unofficial help resources listed on the Support page
Step 3. Start the launcher
When the installation of the launcher is complete, it will launch automatically. Otherwise, double click on the launcher icon.
Step 4. Create an account
When the launcher starts, you will be prompted to log in to check if you bought the game or not. Since you don't have an account, click Register. Without an account, you won't even be able to play the demo version of the game.
When you click "Register", the account creation page will open in your web browser. Follow the instructions on the screen to register your username and password. You must enter your email address to receive a confirmation email
Part 2 of 2: How to Play for Free
Step 1. Log in to the created account
To do this, enter your username and password in the Minecraft launcher window. In this case, the launcher will download additional files - you can follow this process on the indicator at the bottom of the window.
Remember, an internet connection is required for authorization so that your credentials are verified on the Mojang servers
Step 2. Run the demo version of the game
At the bottom of the launcher window, click Play Demo. The launcher window will close and a new game window will open. Click "Play Demo World" in the new window.
Step 3. Remember the limitations of the demo version
If this is your first time playing Minecraft, we recommend reading this article. Remember: the demo version is not the full version of the game - it is intended to familiarize you with the game. Differences between demo and full versions of the game:
- One game session in the demo version is limited to 100 minutes. Then you can enter the game world, but you cannot break and place blocks.
- In the demo version, you will not be able to connect to game servers, but you can play over a local network.
Step 4. Log in with your friend's credentials
If a friend has the full (paid) version of the game, log into their account on your computer to play the full version of Minecraft. We recommend that you do this only with the permission of a friend and preferably in his presence. Do not use a friend's account to illegally distribute Minecraft - in this case, his account may be blocked.
The Minecraft license agreement states that you can install and use the game on your computer. Most likely, using someone else's account on your computer will not lead to serious consequences (only if you do not distribute the game), but violation of the license agreement can lead to account blocking
Advice
- Don't download Minecraft from illegal sites like torrent trackers because it's illegal. Moreover, in the pirated version, you will most likely not be able to play on the network.
- If you like Minecraft, buy the game to support the developers and let them develop the game.
