In this article, we will show you how to save photos from Facebook to your PC, smartphone or tablet. To do this, you need a Facebook account. Keep in mind that you will not be able to save the cover photo of other users.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: On a PC

Step 1. Open Facebook
Follow the link in your browser. If you are already signed in to your Facebook account, the News Feed will open.
If you are not yet logged in to Facebook, please enter your email address (or phone number) and password in the upper right corner of the page

Step 2. Open the image you want to save
Scroll through the News Feed and find the photo you want to save, or go to the page of the person who posted the desired image.
- You cannot save other people's cover photos to Facebook.
- To go to a person's page, just enter his name in the search bar at the top of the Facebook page and select the desired profile in the list of search results.

Step 3. Click on the image
After that, the picture will open in full screen mode.

Step 4. Select a picture
Just hover over the image. Various options will appear around the perimeter of the picture.
The mouse cursor must be on the image in order to perform the following actions

Step 5. Click Options
Hover your mouse over the image and find this item in the lower right corner of the image. Click on the photo to activate the pop-up menu.

Step 6. Click Download
This list item is located above the middle of the pop-up menu. It allows you to save the image to your computer.

In some browsers, you will first need to select a download folder and then click OK.

By default, photos will be saved to the folder Downloads.
Method 2 of 2: On mobile devices

Click the Facebook app shortcut, which looks like a white "f" on a dark blue background. If you are already signed in to your Facebook account, the News Feed will open.

After one or two seconds, a pop-up menu will appear.

It's at the top of the pop-up menu. It allows you to save the image to the memory of your smartphone or tablet.
Advice
- Element Options for the images you added contains more items than the same item in the images of other users.

If you want to save the photo to your computer, you can also right-click the photo and select Save picture as … (or a similar item) in the context menu, then specify the desired folder and click OK.
- Command Ctrl + S on PC (or ⌘ Command + S on Mac) will prompt you to save the entire web page, not the selected image.
