Facebook allows you to like individual posts, as well as public events and pages. Unfortunately, Facebook does not allow you to hide flags on individual user posts. However, you can remove flags from the Activity Log and hide the flags you have given to public profiles and pages.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: How to Remove Likes in an iOS App
Step 1. Launch the Facebook app
If you are not automatically signed in, enter your email address and password.
Step 2. Touch the three horizontal stripes
They are located in the lower right corner of the home page.
Step 3. Click on your profile name
Step 4. Tap Activity Log
Step 5. Click Filter
Step 6. Tap Like
Step 7. Click the downward-pointing arrow to the right of the message
Step 8. Tap Dislike
- If it's a friend or event, tap Hide From Timeline.
- If it's a comment, tap Delete.
Method 2 of 4: How to Remove Likes in an Android App
Step 1. Launch the Facebook app
If you are not automatically signed in, enter your email address and password.
Step 2. Touch the three horizontal stripes
They are located in the upper right corner of the home page.
Step 3. Tap on the Activity Log option under your profile photo
Step 4. Tap Filter
Step 5. Click on the "Like" mark
Step 6. Tap the downward-pointing arrow to the right of the message
Step 7. Click Dislike
- If it's a friend or event, tap Hide From Timeline.
- If it's a comment, tap Delete.
Method 3 of 4: Remove Likes from the Desktop Site
Step 1. Go to Facebook site
Step 2. Log in to your account
Step 3. Click on your profile name at the top of the page
Step 4. Click the View activity log button in the profile header
Step 5. Click on the pencil icon to the right of the message
Step 6. Click on Dislike
The changes will be automatically saved.
Method 4 of 4: Hide the Likes on the Desktop Site
Step 1. Go to the Facebook site
This feature is currently only available on the desktop version of Facebook. This cannot be done in a mobile application.
Step 2. Log in to your account
Step 3. Click on your profile name at the top of the page
Step 4. Move your mouse over the More button
Step 5. Click on Manage Partitions
Step 6. Scroll down to Like
Step 7. Uncheck the box next to Likes
Step 8. Click Save
Since the "Like" section will now be hidden from the page, no one else can access it.
Warnings
- Hiding their Activity Log messages will remove them from the Chronicle on the main panel. The events you like will not appear on your profile page until you share them.
- You cannot hide individual messages in this way. When reviewing your marks in the Activity Log, you can see the default settings for each message. Only the creator of a post or community can change it.
