This article will show you how to hide your birthday information on Facebook.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: On an iPhone or iPad
Step 1. Launch the Facebook app
It is a white letter "f" on a blue background.
If you're not automatically signed in to your account, enter your email address (or phone number) and password, and then tap Sign in
Step 2. Tap the ☰ button in the lower right corner of the screen
Step 3. Tap your name at the top of the screen
Step 4. Click on Edit Profile
This button is located below your profile photo.
Step 5. Scroll down to the "Basic Information" section and click on Edit
It's in the upper-right corner of the Basic Information window.
Step 6. Click on the icon in the form of silhouettes of two people to the right of the date of birth
Step 7. Click on More Information at the bottom of the drop-down menu
Step 8. Select Only me so that only you can see your date of birth in your profile
Step 9. Scroll to the very bottom of the page and click Save
Now your birthday is hidden from the profile, which means that your friends will not be able to see it, even if they open the "Information" section in your Chronicle.
Method 2 of 3: On Android
Step 1. Launch the Facebook app
It is a white letter "f" on a blue background.
If you're not automatically signed in to your account, enter your email address (or phone number) and password, and then tap Sign in
Step 2. Tap the ☰ button in the upper right corner of the screen
Step 3. Click on your name at the top of the screen
Step 4. Scroll down and click on Information
This section is located below your profile picture.
Step 5. Click on More about you
The location of this tab on the screen can be different, but it is always located immediately below the personal information at the top of the page.
Step 6. Scroll down to the "Basic Information" section and click Edit
It's in the upper-right corner of the Basic Information window.
Step 7. Click on the icon in the form of silhouettes of two people next to the date of birth, or rather, to the right of it
Step 8. Click on Additional Information at the bottom of the dropdown menu
Step 9. Select Only me to see your date of birth in the profile only you can
Step 10. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save
Except you, now no one can see your date of birth by going to your profile.
Method 3 of 3: On Facebook
Step 1. Go to the Facebook site
Once on the site, you will be taken to your news feed.
If you are not automatically signed in, enter your email address and password in the upper right corner of the page and click Sign In
Step 2. Click on the tab with your name at the top right of the page
The named tab will also have a thumbnail image of your current profile photo
Step 3. Click on the Information tab at the top of the page, to the right of the Chronicle tab
Step 4. Click on Contact and Basic Information on the left side of the page
Step 5. Scroll down to the General Information section and hover your cursor over Date of Birth
The General Information section is located under the Websites and Social Networks section. When you hover over the date of birth, the "Edit" option will appear on the screen.
Step 6. Click on Edit to the right of your date of birth.
7 Click on the icon in the form of silhouettes of two people to the right of your date of birth
Step 8. Select Just Me to hide your date of birth from your profile
If you also want to hide the year in which you were born, you can do this right below the date of birth field
Step 9. Click on Save Changes
Your date of birth will no longer appear on your profile.
