Your Facebook cover photo is the background for your profile picture. To replace the cover photo on your mobile device, you need to use the Facebook application. You can also customize the snapshot settings to best suit your profile.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: How to replace an existing cover photo

Step 1. Launch the Facebook mobile app
If you don't already have this program, you can install it for free from the app store for iOS, Android and Windows.

Step 2. Click the three horizontal lines icon on the toolbar
The More menu appears on the screen. The button is located in the lower right corner of the screen.

Step 3. Click on your name in the top menu bar "More"
Your profile will open.

Step 4. Click the word "Edit" in the lower right corner of the cover photo
You will have the following options: Upload Photo, which will allow you to upload a picture from the gallery, View your profile cover, which will display the current picture, and Select a photo in the Facebook application, which will set one of your uploaded pictures to Facebook as a photo. covers

Step 5. Click "Upload Photo"
A gallery will open, from which you should select a suitable picture for your cover photo.
- Confirm access to the gallery for the Facebook app if it does not already have this permission.
- Alternatively, you can tap Select Photos from Facebook and select Photos With You (pictures that others have tagged you in) or Albums with uploaded photos.

Step 6. Select a cover photo and click "Done"

Step 7. Drag the photo up, down, or sideways to reposition it on the page
Zoom in on the picture if necessary.

Step 8. Click "Save" to complete the process
You have successfully replaced the cover photo!
Method 2 of 2: How to edit your cover photo

Step 1. Launch the Facebook mobile app
If you don't already have this program, you can install it for free from the app store for iOS, Android and Windows.

Step 2. Click the three horizontal lines icon on the toolbar
The More menu appears on the screen. The button is located in the lower right corner of the screen.

Step 3. Click on your name in the top menu bar "More"
Your profile will open.

Step 4. Click on the cover photo
A pop-up menu with several items will appear.

Step 5. Click "View Profile Cover"

Step 6. Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen
A menu will open with various options.

Step 7. Review the options
The following options are available in the menu:
- "Remove Photo" allows you to remove the cover photo from Facebook.
- Set as Profile Photo allows you to select a portion of the picture as your profile photo.
- "Save Photo" allows you to save the cover photo to the memory of your mobile device.
- "Send on Messenger" allows you to send a photo to any Facebook friend.
- Edit Description lets you add or change a description for your cover photo.
- Turn Off Notifications lets you turn off notifications for comments, ratings, people who have shared a photo, and marks.

Step 8. Click the "Tag" icon in the upper right corner of the screen
It is located to the left of the image settings button in the form of three dots and resembles a tag on clothes.

Step 9. Tap on any part of the screen to select a person or object to check
A menu will appear asking you to select the friend you want to tag.

Step 10. Select or enter an appropriate name
You can also type words or numbers that are not related to your Facebook friends (for example, inanimate objects).

Step 11. Click "Finish" to complete the check mark
If you have tagged a person, they will receive a notification about this.

Step 12. After completing the installation, click the tag icon again
This will leave the marking mode.

Step 13. Click the "Location" icon to specify the geographic location of the image
This icon is located between the tag and three dots icons.

Step 14. Enter the name of your city and region in the special field at the top of the screen
This field is designated as "Search for places".
Also in the search line you can specify attractions and parks

Step 15. Select the location when it appears in the list
This action will allow you to set the location of the snapshot.

Step 16. Click the "X" in the upper left corner when you're done editing the cover photo
All changes will be saved!
Advice
- The image must be at least 720 pixels wide or it cannot be set as a cover photo. A photo that is not wide enough can be zoomed in and set as a cover photo.
- Facebook policies do not allow the use of inappropriate images. Check the list of rules if you are in doubt as to whether your snapshot is suitable for publication.
