In this article, you will learn how to calculate the IP address of a Facebook domain, which determines the physical location of its servers.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: On Windows

Step 1. Click on the "Start" menu with the right mouse button
The Start button is in the lower left corner of the window. Click on it to open a menu with quick access options.
You can also open the Start menu by pressing the key combination ⊞ Win + X

Step 2. Click on Command Prompt
The icon of this program looks like a black square. Click on it to launch Command Prompt.
- If the menu does not have a Command Prompt option, enter “Command Prompt” in the Start Menu search box, and then click on “Command Prompt” at the top of the search results.
- On a networked or shared computer (such as a computer at school or work), access to the Command Prompt may be restricted.

Step 3. Enter ping www.facebook.com -t into the Command Prompt
There is no separate input field, just start typing and the text will appear in the Command Prompt window.
Don't add extra characters or spaces

Step 4. Press ↵ Enter to run a command that asks for a Facebook address
You will see a series of numbers appear on the page, such as "12.34.56.78" (or something similar). These numbers are precisely the IP address of Facebook.
Method 2 of 2: On Mac

Step 1. Run Spotlight Search
To do this, click on the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Step 2. Enter Terminal in the search field
As you print, various programs will appear below the margin.

Step 3. Click on the Terminal icon
It looks like a black window with white "> _" in the upper left corner.

Step 4. Enter ping facebook.com into the program window
This is the command to request the IP address of Facebook.
Don't add extra spaces or characters

Step 5. Press ⏎ Return to run the command in Terminal and display the Facebook IP address

Step 6. Take a look at the Facebook IP address
It is a row of numbers to the right of the line with the text "[Amount] bytes from" (no comma at the end).
