This article will show you how to block phone numbers on iPhone.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Using the Settings app
Step 1. Open the Settings app
The icon for this app looks like a gray gear (⚙️) and is usually located on the home screen.
Step 2. Click Phone
This app is in a group of other Apple apps such as Mail and Notes.
Step 3. Press Call Blocking and Identification
It's under the Calls section.
A list of blocked numbers will be displayed
Step 4. Scroll down and tap Block contact
It's near the bottom of the screen.
If the list of blocked numbers is long, you will have to scroll down to find the specified option
Step 5. Select the phone number to be blocked
To do this, click on the name of the person who owns the number. Thus, this person will not be able to call you, send a message, or contact you via FaceTime.
- Repeat the previous two steps for all numbers you want to block.
- To unblock a number, click Change in the upper right corner of the screen, and then select the number.
Method 2 of 2: Using the Phone app
Step 1. Open the Phone app
Its icon looks like a white telephone receiver on a green background and is usually located on the home screen.
Step 2. Click Recent
It's a clock-shaped icon in the lower-left corner of the screen.
Step 3. Click on the ⓘ icon next to the number you want to block
It's on the right side of the screen.
Step 4. Scroll down and tap Block Caller
It's near the bottom of the menu.
Step 5. Tap Block Contact
Now calls from the blocked number will not go to your iPhone.
