Of course, you want your loved ones to be happy, and you should help them if they need it. Remember, your grandparents are older than you and, unfortunately, do not have as much energy as you do. This is true!
Step 1. Respond immediately to their requests
If they ask for something, then try to comply with their request right away, and do not complain that you do not want to do it.
Step 2. Be joyful
Smile and remember that you are doing this for the people you love.
Step 3. Offer help
Ask what needs to be done. If you're a teenager who spends his time chatting with friends, watching TV, or just lounging around, ask your grandparents if they need help.
Step 4. Help around the house
If you notice that your grandparents are sick, give them practical help by doing housework.
Step 5. Spend time with them
If you really love them, spend time with them. Sit with your grandparents and talk to them about life or do what they ask you to do. They need to feel your love and support.
- Be patient and kind.
- Remember that you must fulfill your own responsibilities before taking on others.
- Smile no matter what. It can be tricky sometimes, but smile anyway to show how much you love them.
