Do you have a lump of hard brown sugar in your pantry? Resist the temptation to throw it away, you can use it after completing one of these steps.
Steps
Method 1 of 5: Soft bread

Step 1. Place the sugar lump in a resealable plastic bag

Step 2. Add a piece of soft bread and close the bag tightly

Step 3. Leave it on for a few hours
Check in a few hours; sugar should be soft.
Method 2 of 5: Microwave

Step 1. Place the sugar in a microwave-safe bowl and reheat for a few seconds
The sugar will soften very quickly.
Method 3 of 5: Moisture

Step 1. If you have a lot of time, put the sugar in a bowl and cover with a thick, damp cloth such as a towel

Step 2. Leave it overnight
By morning, the sugar should be soft again.
Method 4 of 5: Apple Slice

Step 1. Place the tough brown sugar in a resealable plastic bag or in the packaging in which it was stored

Step 2. Add the apple slice and close the bag tightly
This method is similar to the soft bread method.
Method 5 of 5: Aluminum foil

Step 1. Break dry sugar into pieces
Wrap it in aluminum foil.

Step 2. Bake in the oven at 150 º C for 5 minutes

Step 3. Take out and let cool
The sugar should soften again.
Advice
- To prevent sugar from hardening, store it in a terracotta dish that retains moisture. You can get it at any craft store.
- Place one or two salted crackers in the sugar container to keep it moist.
