Learn how to report a user or YouTube channel for violating the site's terms of service in this article. Since the channel cannot be complained about in the YouTube mobile app or mobile browser, you need a computer to do this.
Step 1. Enter https://www.youtube.com into the address bar of your browser
If you are automatically signed in to your account, you will be taken to your dashboard. Otherwise click To come inand then enter your email address and password.
Step 2. Find a channel
Enter the name of the channel in the search bar at the top of the page, then press ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return.
Step 3. Click on a channel
Channels are pages on the right side of which there are Subscribe or You are subscribed buttons.
If you do not know the name of the channel, find the video posted by the author of this channel, click on it, and then click on the name of the channel below under the video
Step 4. Click on the About Channel tab at the top of the page
Step 5. Click on the flag icon under the Statistics heading on the right side of the page
A menu will appear on the screen.
Step 6. Select Report user from the drop-down menu
A pop-up window will appear on the screen.
Step 7. Select the reason for the complaint
Choose the reason that best describes how the channel is violating YouTube's terms of service.
Step 8. Click on Report at the bottom of the window
- If you choose Confidentiality or No option fits, you will be redirected to the YouTube policy page. To report a channel, you will have to select a different option.
Step 9. Complete the form (s)
Here you will have the opportunity to enter the details of your complaint about the channel. Depending on the reason chosen, the options will vary. When you fill out the form, a link to the channel and a "Continue" button will appear at the bottom of the screen.
Step 10. Click Continue to submit your complaint
After submitting the complaint, a YouTube employee will check the channel. If the issue is serious and / or it turns out that the channel owner has repeatedly violated YouTube's policies, their channel will be removed.
