- Sites like XDA Developers or reputable Android forums are recommended if they appear in the results.

Step 2. Download and install Odin
Odin is a free program that is ideal for flashing Android devices. You can download the latest version via their main download page:
Part 2 of 2: Firmware Modem

Step 1. Turn your phone into "Download" mode
Once you've got the modem and installed Odin, you must put your phone into download mode. The process depends on your phone model and brand, so do a quick Google search for information on how to put your particular model into Download mode.

Step 2. Connect your phone to your computer
Using your phone's USB cable, connect it to your computer.

Step 3. Launch Odin
A window should appear with a cell on the left with “COM” in it; a pair of numbers and brackets, colored yellow, must also be indicated. This means that Odin has found your phone.

Step 4. Flip the modem
Click on "Phone" and select the modem file you downloaded. Click on "Start" and wait for the process to complete.
