Microsoft Word files (doc files) cannot always be viewed and edited on Android devices. To view them, you need to create a Google account and download Adobe Reader. It only takes a few minutes and you only need to do it once. Then you can easily open any documents on your phone.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Opening a Document with a Google Account

Step 1. Open the Play Store
First go to the applications menu. This button is usually found at the bottom of the Android screen and looks like a 4x4 chart with white squares. When you click on this button, you will go to the Play Store. The Play Store icon looks like a white suitcase with a triangle in the center.

Step 2. Add your Google account
If you already have a Google email address, simply tap the "Use Existing" option at the bottom of the screen. Enter your account details.
If you don't have a Google Account yet, you'll need to create one. Select "New" at the bottom of the screen and follow the instructions to create it

Step 3. Use an existing account
If you already have a Google email address, tap Use Existing at the bottom of the screen. Enter your account details.
Method 2 of 2: Install Adobe Reader

Step 1. Find Adobe Reader
Once you create a Google account and / or sign in to it, go to your desktop - to do this, press the "Home" button on your phone. Next, you can click on the microphone icon in the upper right corner of the screen. This will open the search screen. Enter "Adobe Reader". First on the list will be Adobe Reader: the application icon looks like a small red square with the Adobe symbol to the left of the name.

Step 2. Install Adobe Reader
Click on the Adobe Reader app that appears in the search. You will be taken to the store where you can read the full description of the application.
- Click the "Install" button in the upper right corner of the screen. The button will be green.
- After that, the access page will appear. Select "Accept" at the bottom of the page to install Adobe Reader.
- It may take a few minutes to fully download and install the application.

Step 3. Try to open the document
Regardless of whether you are trying to open an email attachment or a file downloaded from the Internet, find the document you want and click on it. A small window will appear where you will be asked to select the application you want to use for this action. Select "Adobe Reader" and then select "Always" at the bottom of the window that appears.

Step 4. Open any documents
Now you will be able to open any Word documents on your Android mobile device.
