How to unblock a number on Android

This article will show you how you can remove a phone number from the blacklist (list of blocked numbers) on Android.

Steps

Method 1 of 4: Google Pixel

Step 1. Launch the Phone application

You can find this app on the home screen or in the app drawer. Its icon looks like a telephone receiver. This method can be used on all Google, Motorola, OnePlus or Lenovo phones.

Step 2. Push ☰

It's in the upper-left corner of the screen.

Step 3. Click Settings

Step 4. Scroll down and tap Blacklist

A list of blocked phone numbers appears.

• You can open the black list in another way. Return to the Phone app and press ⁝ (located in the upper right corner), select Settings and then Call blocking.

  

  Step 5. Enter the number you want to unblock

  A confirmation message appears.

  • If there is an icon to the right of the phone number Xthen click on it.

  

  Step 6. Click Unblock

  Calls will start coming from this number again.

  Method 2 of 4: Samsung Galaxy

  

  Step 1. Launch the Phone application

  You can find this application on the home screen. Its icon looks like a telephone receiver.

  

  Step 2. Click on ⁝

  This button is at the top of the screen.

  

  Step 3. Click Settings

  

  Step 4. Click Blocked Numbers

  

  Step 5. Click on the - (minus) next to the number you want to unblock

  This will remove this number from the blacklist.

  Method 3 of 4: HTC

  

  Step 1. Press the call button on HTC

  It's a telephone receiver icon. It's usually found on your home screen or app drawer.

  

  Step 2. Click on ⁝

  It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.

  

  Step 3. Tap Blocked contacts

  A list of blocked numbers will appear.

  

  Step 4. Press and hold the number you want to unblock

  A menu will open.

  

  Step 5. Tap on Unblock contacts

  A confirmation message appears.

  

  Step 6. Press ←

  The contact you selected will be unblocked.

  Method 4 of 4: Asus Zenfone

  

  Step 1. Launch the Phone application

  This is a handset-shaped icon usually found on the home screen or in the app drawer.

  

  Step 2. Click on ⋯

  This button is located in the upper right corner of the screen.

  

  Step 3. Click on Blacklist

  A list of blocked contacts and phone numbers will open.

  

  Step 4. Click Remove from Blacklist

  A confirmation message appears.

  

  Step 5. Press ←

  This contact or phone number will be unblocked.
