The Google Play Store is the premier store program for finding and downloading apps to Android devices and is installed on almost all of these devices. But store updates are not always and not immediately available to all users. If you want to manually update your Google Play Store application, this can be easily done by downloading the installation files from the Internet. If the Google Play Store has not been installed on your device at all, you can install it manually if your device is rooted. This can be especially useful for owners of Kindle Fire. Read the article below to find out how to do this.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Update to the latest version for your Android

Step 1. Allow installation from unknown sources
Click the Settings icon on your device and scroll to the Security section. Enter the Security section and find the "Unknown Sources" checkbox. Check the checkbox to allow installation from sources other than the Google Play Store.

Step 2. Download the latest APK
Android apps are packaged in APK files and can be downloaded from many online resources. The Google Play Store updates automatically, but updates to some devices appear later. You can bypass this waiting period by downloading the APK file from the internet and installing it on your device.
- Download the APK file directly from your device so you don't have to copy the file from your computer to your device.
- Make sure you download the latest version available and that you download it from a trusted source, such as the Android Police website.

Step 3. Tap on the downloaded APK
When the download is complete, open the notification area and tap the APK file. You will be shown a warning that you are about to replace the system program - agree by clicking "OK". Review the app permissions and click the Install button to start installing the APK.

Step 4. Open the Google Play Store
Once the installation is complete, you can open the Google Play Store and start searching in it. If the Google Play Store icon is not on the home screen of your device, you can find it in the Apps menu.
Method 2 of 2: Install the Google Play Store on your Kindle Fire

Step 1. Root your Kindle
Amazon's Kindle Fire runs a modified version of Android, but does not come with the Google Play Store installed. Instead, you will be forced to use the Amazon App Store, which has much less choice. To install the Google Play Store, you must be rooted on your Kindle Fire. The Google Play Store cannot be installed on iOS, Windows Phone, or BlackBerry devices.
- Download software to get root rights. You will need the "Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry" file, which can be downloaded from the XDA Developers forum. Unzip the file to your computer.
- Use a USB cable to connect your Kindle Fire to your computer. Launch Device Manager (Start → Search → "Device Manager") and expand the Removable Devices section. Right click on your Kindle and select Properties. Go to the Driver tab and click Uninstall. Disconnect your Kindle from your computer.
- Download and install the Kindle ADB drivers. They can be found on the XDA Developers forum.
- Open the Security section of your Kindle's Settings menu. Set the "Enable ADB" switch to Enabled.
- Use a USB cable to reconnect your Kindle Fire to your computer. Wait while the drivers are installed.
- Open the Root with Restore folder that you unzipped earlier. Double click on the RunMe.bat file. Select Option 1 from the menu that appears.
- Back up and restore your Kindle data. Click "Backup My Data" on your Kindle screen when this message appears. When the backup is complete, press any key on the computer. After that, click "Restore My Data" on the Kindle screen, and when finished, press any key on your computer.
- Let the Kindle reboot twice. After the first reboot, unlock your device and wait for it to reboot a second time.
- Recover your data again, press any key on your computer and wait for the device to restart again.
- Find the Superuser app. When the device boots up, open the Apps menu and look for a program called Superuser. If it is, it was possible to get the root of the rights.

Step 2. Download the required APK files
To install the Google Play Store, you need several APK files from Google, as well as a file manager. Download the following APKs (all of them can be found on the XDA forum or Android Police). Don't be confused, download the latest versions:
- Account And Sync Settings
- Google Login Service
- Google Play Services
- Google play store
- Google Services Framework
- Vending
- ES File Explorer

Step 3. Copy the APK files to your Kindle
You can connect the Kindle and copy the APK files to the Kindle memory. Place them so that you can easily find them, for example, in the root folder.

Step 4. Launch ES File Explorer
Click the Menu button, then expand the Tools section and click the Root Explorer button. Select "Mount R / W", and set both options to "RW".

Step 5. Install the first APK
With ES File Explorer configured, you're ready to install the APK. Go to the folder where you copied the APK and install the following four in this order:
- Account And Sync Settings
- Google Services Framework
- Google Login Service
- Google Play Services
- After installing these APKs, restart your Kindle.

Step 6. Launch ES File Explorer
Go to the remaining APKs folder and copy Vending.apk. This can be done by pressing and holding your finger on the file and then selecting Copy from the menu that appears. Paste the file into the System / App folder, replacing the existing file. Restart your Kindle again.

Step 7. Install Google Play Store
Launch ES File Explorer and navigate to the Google Play Store ARC file you downloaded. Tap it to start the installation.
When the installation is complete, reboot the device again

Step 8. Launch the Google Play Store
When your Kindle restarts, you can launch the Google Play Store. You will be prompted to sign in to a Google account, which you can create if you don't have one.
With the Google Play Store, you can download and install many applications not normally available on the Amazon App Store
