This article will show you how to edit and draw on photos using your Android phone or tablet. All you need is PicsArt Color Paint or You Doodle, which can be downloaded for free from the Play Store.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: How to Use PicsArt Color To Paint

Step 1. Launch PicsArt Color Paint
The application icon looks like a white "P" on a blue-pink background.

Step 2. Click Start Drawing
It's a pink button located at the bottom of the screen.
- If the button is not displayed Start drawingthen start a new project by clicking on the window with the icon + in the center.

Step 3. Click on the photo icon
It is located at the top of the screen and looks like a mountain image with a "+" sign in the lower left corner.
Click "Allow" to give PicsArt access to your photos

Step 4. Select the picture on which you want to draw something
The photo will open in edit mode.
If you want, you can take a new photo first by clicking on the camera icon

Step 5. Place your photo
Press and hold the center of the image to move it to another location. You can also edit and move pictures using one of the three icons located in the corners of the photo. Use them to:

delete the image.

resize the image.

rotate the image.

Step 6. Press

This button is located in the upper right corner. The image area will be selected.

Step 7. Click on the blue wheel icon
It's in the toolbar at the bottom left of the screen. The color picker will open.

Step 8. Choose a color and click

First select a color on the color wheel. Then change the brightness level by clicking on the desired place in the triangle.
You can also choose the color you want from the suggested color list below

Step 9. Click on the brush icon
It's to the right of the color wheel icon in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. A set of available brushes will open.

Step 10. Select a brush
Swipe your finger to browse through all the available brushes and select the one you want. Using the slider, you can adjust the size and opacity of the brush.
- Click the icon ^to view the brushes in full screen. The icon is located in the upper right corner of the window.
- To minimize the window, slide your finger from top to bottom.

Step 11. Draw on the picture
Just draw with your finger across the screen. You can always change both the color and the brush. If necessary, edit your drawing using the various tools available.

You can undo your last action by pressing ↩.
- Use the eraser to erase the excess.

Step 12. Click →
This arrow is in the upper right corner. You will be taken to the Save & Share page.

Step 13. Click Gallery
The image will be saved to your Android device.
Method 2 of 2: How to Use You Doodle

Step 1. Launch the You Doodle app on your Android device
It's a round icon with a palette of multi-colored paints in the middle.

If you don't have You doodle, load it from Play Store

Step 2. Click Import
This button is located at the top of the screen.

Step 3. Click Draw Over Photo
This is the last option on the proposed list. Then select a source from the list that appears at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4. Click on the photo gallery icon
Click on the Google Photos icon if you want to use this app. You can also select photos from Gallery or Photo Gallery applications.

Step 5. Tap the photo on which you will draw
The photo opens in the crop tool.

Step 6. If necessary, crop the image to the desired size
Move the corners or sides of the rectangle to select the part of the photo you want, and then click Crop. This button is at the top of the screen.
- To select the entire photo, click on the first icon (a square with two arrows in the middle). It's in the lower left corner of the screen.
- If you need to rotate the photo, click on the second icon (curved arrow).

Step 7. Click Apply
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen. Now you will be able to edit the selected photo.

Step 8. Click on the brush icon
It is located at the bottom of the screen. A set of paint brushes opens.

Step 9. Select the brush you need and click Apply
Select the desired color or pattern from the list that opens. You can change the size and opacity of the brush using the sliders.
- In order to select any one color from the proposed palette, click "Fill". You can also choose a pattern from the available options at the top of the screen.
- In the Size box, move the slider to the right to increase the brush size, or to the left to decrease it.
- In the Opacity box, move the slider to the left to make the brush color or pattern more transparent, or to the right to make it less transparent.

Step 10. Draw something on the photo by simply swiping your finger across the screen
If you don't like what happened, undo the last action by clicking on the curved arrow icon in the lower left corner of the screen.

Step 11. Click on Export
You can save the edited photo or share it on social networks.

Step 12. Click Save
A list of available formats will open.

Step 13. Select the required format
The file can be saved as "PNG" or "JPG". This will not affect the quality, but-p.webp

Step 14. Name the photo and click Apply
The edited photo will be saved in the photo gallery on your Android device.
